MEMORIAL PRODUCTS
All Reminiss Memorials are handmade by talented artists in our glass studios.
We offer a wide range of popular color combinations that we have tested and know will look beautiful. We will do our best to accommodate custom color requests, however, there will be a customization fee for custom color requests. Please contact us with questions about available colors and to discuss a custom color design.
We will try to accommodate custom shapes when feasible. Custom shapes often require special tools and processes that may make them complex. Our Studio Coordinator and artisan team will work with you on a quote for your specific piece. Custom requests can be made here.
Yes, all of our items are handmade and unique in form. As a result, the shades of colors and design patterns on the website may vary from the actual memorial that you receive due to lighting of the images on our website and the manner in which the glass, color, and ashes interact when combined in your memorial.
ASHES & CREMAINS
We accept cremains and aquamation ashes for our ash-infused memorial products. If you have any further questions, please contact us.
Yes, absolutely. We already create beautiful memorials for families today using aquamation ashes.
We generally can make one memorial from one teaspoon of ashes. In the collection kit that we send to you, we include a small plastic bag with a "fill here" line that indicates the amount of ashes required for your specific order.
We completely understand that the process could be challenging – and sometimes urns are difficult to open. We recommend asking a friend, family member, or your funeral home to help you.
Yes, all of our memorials can be created with pet ashes.
The ashes appear as a white/grey ribbon in the piece.
Our entire process is tightly controlled. Once your collection vessel arrives, it never leaves the building. Each vessel is assigned a unique ID number and that same number is attached to your memorial throughout the production process.
Yes, we often create single memorials to celebrate two different individuals.
We will likely use most of the ash provided if you deliver the requested amount to us, however, there is usually a small amount of excess ash. Periodically, we will scatter the remaining ash that we've received in nature either in the Puget Sound or at the base of Mount Rainier in a respectful and dignified manner. If you would prefer, we can mail the remaining ash of your loved one back to you, however, we charge $30 to cover the cost of sending the ashes priority express, as per USPS regulations.
ORDERING A MEMORIAL
Generally your first step would be to place an order on this website. We will then send you a collection kit for the ashes. Once you return the kit to us, we will schedule the production of your custom memorial and you should receive the memorial within 4 weeks from the date that we receive your completed collection kit. See Order Process for additional details.
Other than the name of the decedent, we do not require that you provide any additional information about your loved one. We try to personalize each order as much as possible, so we’re happy to hear any additional information you are willing to share. This includes the nature of your relationship to the decedent and/or the recipient(s) of the pieces as well as any personal stories you would like to share. We completely respect our clients’ need for privacy and, as your comfort is our highest priority, we never ask for anything you are not comfortable sharing.
We accept credit card payment through our website, or you can pay with a check mailed in with the collection vessel.
SHIPPING
After you order your memorial, a collection kit will be sent to you. For US orders, the kit includes a USPS shipping package specifically approved for ashes, a vessel with a collection bag inside, detailed instructions, and necessary forms. The shipping cost is approximately $30 and is paid directly to your local post office. Note, you will not be charged for shipping when we ship the finished memorial to you.
USPS Priority Mail packages are traceable and require our signature upon delivery. We will also contact you (normally via email) to let you know when your package has arrived at our studio.
Completed memorials are generally delivered 4-6 weeks after we have received your collection package, depending on the piece(s).
We provide free shipping to U.S. addresses via USPS Priority Mail. Your memorial will be expertly packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition and a signature of receipt will be required. International shipping is based on weight and varies by carrier.
